President:

Kathie reviewed some important dates:

Sunday, September 21 – NO LEAGUE GAMES due to the WWC Opening Ceremonies.

Points per Game:  WAGS had no choice but to determine standings by points per game.

Role of Club Reps: To know the WAGS and State Association Rules.  Bad advice to a team does not alleviate the responsibilities of the team and may cause them some serous repercussions.  Some Reps unfortunately only contact the league office when they want something changed or rearranged for the convenience of their team or they feel that they have been wronged in some way regardless of the fact that they have other teams in the league who have to contact either me or Robin because that same club rep can’t seem to answer a simple rule question or even take the time to return their phone calls.  That is not to say that if there is a legitimate problem with the team that you are associated with needs league guidance or intervention, you shouldn’t ask for it. Just remember that you are there for ALL WAGS teams within your club not just the one that your daughter plays on or you happen to coach.  There are, however, some people that have been club reps for years and we still have no idea which teams they are associated with.  Some even have no children in the league and yet continue to serve as a club rep.  Those are true volunteers.

Committees:  Kathie will be starting committees and need volunteers for the club reps.

Out-going Treasurer:  Kathie thanked Bob Dieterle for all of the years with WAGS and for giving us an analytical picture of WAGS finances.

Adele Dolansky Scholarship:

The following girls are the recipients of the Adele Dolansky Scholarship:

Anna Marie Raven-Hasen, Kathleen Vistica, Dana Catherine Mueller, Rebekah Finch

Mike Sybert, Scholarship Committee Chair, spoke of the recipients accomplishments both on and off the playing field.  He also thanked the committee for their hard work. (Gibby Bell, Pat Lusk, Joe Hollenburg, Kelly Deegan, Sally D’Italia).

Election of Officers:

Kathie Diapoulis announced the slate of Officers submitted by the Nominating Committee.  The slate of Officers was approved as submitted.  The following Officers will serve on the WAGS Board of Directors for the year 2003-2004:
